This Thursday, Troy is flying out to Belfast with our good friend (ahem, and fantastic web designer) Tom Rose. They will be spending the week with the folks from R.O.C.K. Community Church as well as shooting a short film about “G.O. KIDZ”, R.O.C.K. and life in Belfast, Northern Ireland. We hope to have the film posted on our site by the summer. If you would like a copy of the film, please contact us! We love sharing with others the work that we are joining up with in Belfast! (contact us through email: emailrhodes@gmail.com) Please keep Troy and Tom in your prayers the following week as they travel to N. Ireland.
May is a busy month for us. We are moving (yes, again) back to Bloomfield (again) to live in the wonderfully finished basement (by handy Troy himself) of my parents’ home. They have graciously opened their doors to us as we are trying to save money before leaving for Belfast. This has been blessing to us in many ways! First, it frees us from having to get into a lease for an apartment. Second, it saves us quite a bit money. Third, but probably the best blessing of all , Silas and Olive will have a unique opportunity to live and get to know their aunt, uncles, and grandparents before we head off across the ocean!
So, the month of May is all about packing and getting rid of a lot of stuff. It’s been a bittersweet thing for me. It is only bitter because I hate packing! It’s sweet because it is just another step in our journey to Northern Ireland! Oh how I hate packing. Anytime I pass a cardboard box, I suddenly get a head ache…
Yet, we are blessed! God is leading our little family, and with every step in this journey, He lights the way. I am excited to see what is next! We are so grateful to all of you who are walking with us in this journey. We have been blown away by your encouragement and friendship!
Please continue to pray for :
-The Lord to continue to light our path and give us wisdom
- Our little family’s health, especially for Silas and Olive who are still battling colds
- Troy and Tom’s trip to Northern Ireland this week (safety and a productive time of filming)
- Our preparations for Northern Ireland (visas, financial support, and even, packing)
Much love to all,
Noelle
